When to give flowers in Lithuania

Dates for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Joninės, Žolinė and remembrance in Lithuania. Flower ideas for visits and advice on each handover.

Lithuanian dates and personal choices

In Lithuania Mother’s Day is the first Sunday in May and Father’s Day the first Sunday in June. Check these dates before planning your gift. Changing the website language does not change the country’s calendar.

Joninės / Rasos falls on 24 June. Its guide separates a personal gift from activity wreaths and helps you arrange the handover before going out to celebrate. Check the programme if you want to participate.

Žolinė falls on 15 August. Before ordering decide whether the flowers are for a blessing or a visit. The guide helps you check the composition and prepare a gift they can put in place on arrival.

1 November is All Saints’ Day and 2 November is Vėlinės. The combined guide preserves the distinction between the two days and helps you plan a remembrance visit if your family wishes. Check the cemetery’s arrangements before bringing flowers.

Our flower suggestions are options based on their taste or the format you need. They are neither an obligation nor a list of species available at every florist. Agree receipt and ask what the destination florist can prepare.

Guide to adding Agenda Floral to Apple and Google Calendar

Apple or Google decide when to check for updates. We cannot guarantee that changes appear immediately. Importing the file gives you a copy that does not receive our future corrections. Importing again may duplicate events. We do not add alarms, although your calendar may apply its own alerts.

Occasions in other countries

Celebrations can fall on different dates in each country. Check the calendar for the place where the occasion is celebrated before planning a gift.

How we put these guides together

We consult institutional sources to check dates and customs. For plant facts, we use horticultural sources. Our gift ideas start with each flower’s appearance and the recipient’s taste. A shop link documents a particular offer. It does not prove that a flower is popular or part of a tradition. We keep adding to this selection rather than claiming to cover every species.
