Valentine’s flowers in Lithuania: choosing and arranging delivery

Lithuania · Nationwide

Valentine’s Day in Lithuania is on 14 February. If you want to give flowers, start with red roses when you know they like them, or choose tulips in another colour. Before ordering, decide whether to hand them over or send them. If they need to arrive before a date, confirm that requirement with the florist.

14 February and Lithuania’s calendar

The Money Museum of the Bank of Lithuania places Valentino diena on 14 February. Reading this page in another language does not change the date. Select Lithuania as your country to see it alongside other Lithuanian occasions.

The subscription records the whole day. It neither reserves a bouquet nor sets a delivery time. If you are meeting on another day, you can prepare the gift for that meeting and keep the 14th as a reference.

Roses or tulips to suit their taste

Red roses are our main suggestion if they like both the flower and the colour. You do not need a large bouquet or a particular number of stems. A note explaining why you thought of them can accompany a small bouquet.

You could order red roses or choose another colour with a personal meaning for you both. If they prefer tulips, ask which colours can be prepared and agree on substitutions before paying.

If you need the bouquet before a date

If you choose an all-day delivery without a guaranteed time, leave a margin before going out for dinner. Check your order’s conditions: an available date does not guarantee arrival before a particular time.

For example, if you are visiting your partner in Kaunas, you could ask: “I need the bouquet before leaving at six. Can you confirm delivery, or should I collect it?” If that margin cannot be confirmed, choose collection where possible or agree on another delivery with your partner. For a walk, ask about protecting the bouquet and avoid leaving it waiting outside.

Frequently asked questions

When is Valentino diena celebrated in Lithuania?

On 14 February each year. Choosing another language does not change the date or the calendar’s country.

Do the flowers have to be red roses?

No. We suggest them if you know they are liked. You can choose tulips or another favourite flower and confirm what the florist can prepare.

Can I be sure they arrive before dinner?

Only if the service confirms that condition for your order. If delivery is all day without a guaranteed time and you need the bouquet before leaving, ask about collection or another option with a confirmed time.
