Which flowers to give for Father’s Day in Mexico

Mexico · Nationwide

In Mexico Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday in June. If he likes yellow, give him sunflowers in a bouquet with a container. Choose the overall size including the wrapping, especially if he will take the flowers home after a family meal.

Guide to adding Agenda Floral to Apple and Google Calendar

Apple or Google decide when to check for updates. We cannot guarantee that changes appear immediately. Importing the file gives you a copy that does not receive our future corrections. Importing again may duplicate events. We do not add alarms, although your calendar may apply its own alerts.

Changing dates

The day of the month varies each year. When ordering from abroad, write the full date for that Sunday and the Mexican delivery town.

Arrange a window in the destination’s local time and check Sunday delivery. If it does not fit, choose another day for the gift and send your message on Sunday.

Flowers and container as one complete gift

Sunflowers highlight yellow petals and a dark centre. Gerberas offer other colours with an open bloom. For a narrow bouquet, ask for an arrangement with irises. Start with his preferences and compare the finished gift’s dimensions.

If he will use his own vase, its measurements help shape the bouquet. If you include a container, allow for its width, the flowers’ height and how everything will travel together.

A gift to take home after lunch

If you eat at someone else’s home, prepare the flowers for your father to take away. Leave them on a side table and keep the dining table free for serving.

An order example: “I would like sunflowers in a container. We are eating at my sister’s and my father will take them home by car. I need the overall width and a box that holds the base securely during the journey.”

A card for him and a clear destination

The card could say: “Dad, I love that we always find something to talk about. These flowers come with a hug.” Adapt the words to your relationship and sign your name.

For delivery from afar, distinguish the lunch address from his home. Send the gift where he will receive it, adding access details if needed.

Can I collect the bouquet on Saturday to give it on Sunday?

Yes. Put the stems in a clean vase with water and keep leaves above the waterline. Keep the flowers away from heat and check the water level before giving them.

What helps most when choosing the size?

The finished dimensions including container and wrapping, together with the journey it will make.
