Administrative Professionals Day in the US: date and flower ideas

United States · Nationwide

In the United States, Administrative Professionals Day is the Wednesday of the last full week of April. To accompany thanks to administrative staff, we suggest a small gerbera arrangement with a note from the team. If they will take it home, size and container matter more than a large bouquet.

Guide to adding Agenda Floral to Apple and Google Calendar

Apple or Google decide when to check for updates. We cannot guarantee that changes appear immediately. Importing the file gives you a copy that does not receive our future corrections. Importing again may duplicate events. We do not add alarms, although your calendar may apply its own alerts.

The date and the people it recognises

The week runs from Sunday to Saturday and must fit entirely within April. The day therefore falls between April 21 and 27. It is April 22 in 2026 and April 21 in 2027. It is not always the last Wednesday of the month.

The date recognises people who carry out administrative support and coordination. The name covers more roles than the former Secretaries Day. It is a professional observance, not a federal holiday. If a company holds its gathering on another day, the delivery can match that gathering.

An arrangement for the desk or a bouquet to take home

For a desk, I would choose a few gerberas in a low, stable container. They can go straight into place without finding a vase or taking up the whole desk. A lisianthus bouquet is another option to take home.

If the recipient will travel on public transport, ask for a compact design protected for the journey. For a shared room, you could choose an arrangement to stay there. Distinguish a gift for the space from one intended for an individual. The thank-you flower guide explores more options.

A card that says what you appreciate

The note can mention a specific contribution. For example: “Thank you for coordinating the team visit and handling the last-minute changes. You helped us arrive prepared. From the whole team.” Adapt it to what happened and add the names of those signing.

Flowers can accompany that recognition. Other ways of recognising work last beyond the day, such as opportunities for training and involvement in decisions.

Ordering and arranging delivery

You could ask: “I would like a small gerbera arrangement to thank a colleague on Administrative Professionals Day. It needs to fit beside a computer and be easy to take home on the bus. I would like the container and card included within this budget.”

For office delivery, provide the recipient’s name, company, floor and a reception contact. Check which day they will be there if they work a hybrid schedule. If you are giving it at a team gathering, order for that date and keep the observance date as the calendar reference.

No. This page covers the United States. Argentina observes its day on September 4 and Mexico on the third Wednesday of July. Select the calendar of the country where the recognition will take place.

Which flowers work for a gift to several people?

You could prepare small individual bouquets or an arrangement for a shared area with a card addressed to the team. If each person will take flowers home, include packaging and distribution in the order.
